Scout Out builds AI-powered estimating and proposal software for residential contractors. We help general contractors and remodelers turn plans into accurate estimates, clean scopes, and professional proposals — faster and more consistently than existing tools.
We’re looking for a Founding GTM Lead to own early revenue and help define how Scout Out sells to residential contractors. This is a hands-on role where you’ll run deals end-to-end while shaping messaging, pricing, and outbound strategy from day one.
This is not a “maintain the playbook” role; you’ll be helping build it.
What you’ll do
- Own the full sales cycle: outbound → discovery → demo → close
- Sell directly to residential general contractors and remodelers
- Stand up Scout Out’s outbound motion: ICP definition, sequences, talk tracks
- Rapidly test messaging and channels and turn what works into repeatable systems
- Work closely with the founder and product to relay contractor feedback
- Help define pricing, packaging, and when/how we move upmarket
- Lay the foundation for a future sales team and GTM playbook
About you
- 1–3 years of full-cycle B2B sales or GTM experience
- Comfortable selling to SMBs and non-technical buyers
- High activity tolerance and strong follow-through
- Strong communicator who can handle objections and keep conversations practical
- Excited by ambiguity and early-stage ownership
