We are looking for a Software Engineer to help bring our surgical navigation system to market.
This role presents the unique opportunity to use your skills in writing production-ready software to make an incredible impact on clinical care.
Your first year at Illuminant will involve working in a team of committed clinicians and engineers to bring the product from prototype to commercial use in the operating room. You will help identify the gaps in product readiness for regulatory approval, finalize features for commercial use, and build processes to allow us to deploy safe and effective software. You will work on topics across rendering, projection mapping, point cloud registration, medical image segmentation, and 3D sensing.
Our ideal candidate is motivated to bring products from R&D into the hands of users, and has deep experience in working with production-ready code in regulated environments, preferably in medical devices. They can build software with regulatory standards and documentation in mind. They will have a strong interest in high performance computer graphics, augmented reality, computer vision, and computational modeling, especially in the context of medical software. They will be fluent in C++, C# and Python. They will have some experience in developing desktop applications for Windows and developing high quality user interfaces. They value and can institute modern, high-quality code development practices. They are energized by the accelerated growth, deep autonomy, and trajectory-setting impact that comes with joining as an early engineer.
