Company Overview:

Our company is seeking a design intern specializing in creating visually appealing, effective websites. We have a team of developers and marketers who collaborate to deliver customized solutions for our clients. Our office is in Santa Monica, and we are looking for a Web Design Intern passionate about design who wants to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Position Summary:

As a Web Design Intern, you will work alongside our team to create visually stunning websites for our clients. You will brainstorm, design, and implement website layouts using design software tools like Photoshop, Figma and Webflow. You will also work on HTML, CSS, and React code and collaborate with our team to ensure that the designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and responsive. You should be highly creative, have strong attention to detail, and have a basic understanding of web development.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm website design concepts and create wireframes and prototypes
• Design website layouts using design software tools like Figma and Webflow
• Implement designs using HTML, CSS, and React code
• Work with the Marketing team to create engaging and eye-catching sales and marketing collateral
• Work with the development team to ensure that the designs are functional and responsive
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on design projects
• Stay up to date on current design trends and techniques

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field
• A strong portfolio that showcases your design skills
• Experience using design software tools like Figma and Webflow
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and React
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take constructive feedback
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Internship Details:

• Internship length: 3-6 months
• Internship hours: 20-30 hours per week
• Ideally, the candidate could come into our Santa Monica office a few times per week, with some remote work possible.
