Founders' Associate Intern

Dexter is the AI-native Source-to-Pay platform built in Europe. We help procurement teams replace slow, manual workflows (like running RFPs) with AI agents that can run critical business processes end to end.

Procurement is a fascinating function - responsible for hundreds of millions, or even billions, in spend, managing strategic supplier relationships and negotiations - yet is overlooked when it comes to technology. We’re here to bring them into the AI era.

We went through Y Combinator in 2024, and have been growing since then. Now we're looking for a Founders Associate Intern to work directly with founders and help us scale go-to-market, with a strong focus on growth experimentation and using AI and automation to move faster than teams ten times our size.

Your Role

As a Founders Associate Intern at Dexter, you’ll work side-by-side with the founders on the most critical part of an early-stage startup: finding, winning, and learning from customers.

This is not a routine internship with boring manual tasks. You'll help shape how we identify target customers, test messaging, run outbound experiments, and turn early traction into repeatable growth.

You'll also build the automations that make all of this scalable - we believe in using every tool at our disposal (AI, no-code automation, whatever works) to punch above our weight. If you're curious, resourceful, and excited about building a real business with modern tools, this role is for you.

Key Facts

• Start: ASAP (Feb or March 2026)
• Duration: minimum 5 months (please do not apply if you are available less than 5 months)
• Location: Berlin, in-office at least 4 days per week.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and analyze promising customer segments and use cases.
• Build and iterate on outbound sales and lead-generation campaigns (email, LinkedIn), and automate them where possible using tools like n8n, Make, or similar platforms.
• Use AI tools to streamline research, enrich leads, analyze call transcripts, draft outreach, and speed up workflows that would otherwise take hours.
• Research and evaluate conferences, events, and partnerships that could unlock new demand.
• Design and run growth experiments, from new channels to creative outreach tactics, and measure what works.
• Help create sales materials, decks, and reporting to turn insights into action.
• Work directly with founders on ad-hoc strategic projects as the company scales.

Who We’re Looking for

• You are currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
• You have at least two years of university education and are eager to gain hands-on experience in business building.
• You have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• You're a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You see a problem, find a tool, and build a solution.
• You're genuinely excited about AI and automation. You've experimented with tools like ChatGPT, n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar, or you're the kind of person who will teach yourself over a weekend.
• You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable engaging with prospects via email and LinkedIn.
• You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are excited about building something from the ground up.
• You are fluent in English and German.
